Embedding a YouTube Video in a Google Slide

PDF version attached---->

Open Google Slides and select create a new presentation.

In the new presentation, click on the “Insert” menu, and select “Video”

Click “By URL”.

Paste the URL into the text box. A preview of your video should appear. If the video is correct, click “Select”.

You should now see the video in the presentation slide. You can re-size or re-position the video using the blue control tabs. You can also add text or other elements to your slide. To the left, you have playback controls, etc. NOTE: In presentation mode, if students click on “YouTube” at the bottom of the video, it will try to take them to the YouTube site, and it will be blocked. They must view the video from within the slide.

Once you have your slide created and saved, you can share this slide directly from your Google Drive, or you can include it in Schoology, just as you would any other Google Slide or Google Doc, etc.
